IZOD CENTER is home to the NBA's New Jersey Nets and hundreds
of different events.
Countless LEGENDARY moments in sports and entertainment history
have taken place in the IZOD CENTER. The Devils have
won three Stanley Cups in the last nine years (1995, 2000, 2003)
and the Nets advanced to the NBA Finals the past two years (2002,
2003). The IZOD CENTER has also hosted the NBA All-Star Game in
1982, the NHL All-Star Game in 1984, and the NCAA Men's Final Four
in 1996.
The IZOD CENTER has been graced by the greatest stars in modern
music. It boasts a STATE-OF-THE-ART acoustical structure
designed to provide audiences with excellent sound and an optimum
view no matter where they're seated. The IZOD CENTER opened
in July 1981 with six sold-out shows by Bruce Springsteen and
the E Street Band. Springsteen has frequently been back to the
Meadowlands including a record 15 sold-out performances at the
arena in 1999. Overall, Springsteen has sold-out 44 concerts at
the arena and 16 at Giants Stadium making him the Meadowlands'
top-selling artist. Other artists that have performed at the Arena
include Billy Joel, Elton John, Madonna, U2, Celine Dion, Eric
Clapton, Bon Jovi, Britney Spears and Eminem -- making IZOD CENTER one of the top concert venues in the country.
The Arena has received multiple industry awards since opening
in 1981, including the "Prime Site Award" from Facilities
and Event Management magazine; it was named "ARENA OF
THE YEAR" a record eight times by Performance magazine
and voted "#1 Grossing Arena in North America " by Amusement
Business in 1999.

sporting events that keep this place packed. With corporate events
and family shows including Disney on Ice, Harlem Globetrotters,
Sesame Street Live, WWE, Champions On Ice and Ringling Bros. and
Barnum & Bailey, we make sure kids of all ages stay on the
edge of their seats.
More than 54 million people have attended nearly 5,000 events
at the IZOD CENTER since it opened in 1981.
